Check out these new wooden usb drives  that I just received from www.usbmemorydirect.com  Pretty sweet right!  Any time I find a product that can add to my branding I’m super excited.  I heard about these drives a little while back from a couple of my photographer friends and they’ve been on my to do list to order.  I decided to go with the bamboo ones as I love the look of them.  I also really like the magnetic fastener that helps hold the lid on too.  The ones I got are 8 GB which should be plenty big enough to deliver everything from weddings to commercial shoots to my clients.  Definitely check out their website as there is lots of different styles to choose from and they can be customized with your logo.

I know, two blog posts in one day!  What the….  I’ve been so busy lately and I’ve been meaning to post these scans for a while now.  If you saw any of my previous posts you’ll know that I busted out and dusted off the ole’ Hasselblad and decided to shoot some medium format film.  My good friend Justin Demutiis has been shooting film for a while now and we’re continually talking about film versus digital.  I had asked if he would like me to take some portraits of himself and Ashley (his lady friend 🙂  while we were away on our Georgia trip.  Now, those of you who know Justin, know he is quite the stylish man and Ashley is no stranger to fashion herself.  I knew they would look fabulous for the session.  Considering Justin is typically on the other side of the camera I think he did a really good job being photographed and I’m sure it helped that we’ve know each other for so long.  Ashley has such a fun loving, happy, bubbly personality and is always smiling and laughing.  She even took my teasing in stride no problem.  It was very different shooting film again and I’m glad Corey shot some digital along side me as there’s still a few problems with the hassy that need to be fixed.  Overall though I was really happy with the way the session turned out and I just can’t deny that there’s something amazing about the look of medium format and film.  I will definitely be shooting more soon.  Enjoy!

A few weeks ago we had our second annual trip to the mountains of Georgia with a wonderful group of friends that we affecionately have nicked named the wolf pack.  Since our first trip we have really gotten to know each other a lot more and have developed deep friendships filled with adventure, laughter, pranking, and mischief.  You know you have a great group of friends when you can just sit around and talk for hours without getting bored.   I also know I speak for the whole group when I say that I’m truly blessed to have found such an amazing group of people to call friends.   Everyone is so fun, creative, and talented and there’s never a dull moment.  This year I had decided to take along my Hasselblad that I had just gotten back into working order.  I had an old roll of Ilford XP2 b/w film that had been in the fridge for about 14 years.  I thought it would be fun to take one frame of each of us as there’s just 12 exposures on a roll of 120.  I was actually really surprised at how well it turned out considered how out dated the film was.  Can’t wait until next years trip and all the time we get to spend together in between….  Love you guys!!!
