I little while back I had the pleasure of working with this lovely couple from New York at one of the most amazing venues on the West Coast of Florida – The Ringling. Also known as the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. If you’ve never been here before I strongly suggest planning a visit. Trust me you won’t be disappointed. It’s like taking a visit to a palace in Italy. You can easily spend a day there enjoying the art collection that John and Mable owned. The Venetian Gothic mansion, Ca d Zan, that they built as their residence is on the back of the property facing Sarasota Bay. You could spend hours exploring all the possible picture locations at this magnificent property. Their ceremony took place in the museum courtyard followed by dinner and dancing. I’m definitely looking forward to my next visit back to the Ringling and hopefully it’s for another incredible wedding there. Enjoy!
We’ve decided to take a bit different approach to the blog by asking our couples to write a bit about their wedding and what made is so special to them. Haylie and Brian were kind enough to write a beautiful post and I hope you enjoy reading about their wedding day. Enjoy!
“We were married at the Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota, Florida. Once we got engaged, we knew that Sarasota would be a special place to get married since many weekends were spent there while dating.
What made our wedding unique was that is was infused with Jewish tradition and history. We had many meetings with Rabbi Judd and Hazzan Jodi Sered-Lever so they could get to know us and make our wedding reflect our love and personalities. We felt our ceremony was intimate and unique because not only did the Rabbi capture our love perfectly but he captured why Brian and I mesh together so well as a couple. For me, the most powerful moment of our ceremony was as we were reading our vows to one another, as it really confirmed how much we love one another and how excited we are to start our life together.
The wedding band that I was married in was Brian’s great-great grandmother, dated back to 1875 when his great-great grandmother, Sarah Epstein Klein was wed to his great-great grandfather, Solomon Klein, November 3, 1875, in St. Louis, Missouri.
We knew when we were looking for a photographer that we wanted someone who captured the moments and the emotions of our wedding. Once we saw Aaron’s work we knew we had to hire him. His work is timeless and really captured the emotions of our special day. We have had so many compliments on our wedding pictures and people say they are breathtaking. Aaron Lockwood is so professional and talented and we loved working with him not only during the day of our wedding but throughout the whole process.
Rohin Singh at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota could of not been more perfect. His patience and professionalism were incredible and helped my dream wedding come true. The Ritz Carlton Sarasota made me feel like a princess on the day of my wedding and executed on everything perfectly.
My makeup artist Rachel Reumann with Rachelartistry.com is the most talented makeup artist I have ever met. She truly captured the wedding look I envisioned for my special day. When I look at all my wedding pictures I am blown away with how beautiful my makeup looks. Rachel Reumann is a true artist and is exceptional at what she does.
My hairdresser Robert Gandarilla with CR La Mansion is the best of the best. He is a true artist, patient, and is the most talented hairdresser I know.
Viola Cinematic. They worked beautifully with Aaron Lockwood and really worked as a team. I was in tears watching my wedding video. They captured the emotions and special moments of our wedding day and I know I will treasure this video for many years.
Louis with The Arrangement Florist captured the exact look I was looking for with all of my flowers. He met with me many times until I felt comfortable with all the flowers. I appreciated his patience and creativity and this was shown in the final product. Our reception room was exactly what I envisioned and I was blown away with how beautiful the room looked.”
