Lee Ann and Scott’s Wedding was a special event for me because I had photographed Scott’s sisters’ wedding just a few years ago. It was great to see everyone again. I truly enjoy opportunities that allow me to reconnect with clients and continue documenting important chapters in their family history book. Lee Ann and Scott’s wedding took place at the beautiful historic Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg. We had the privilege of working with Georgia Watson, Weddings by Georgia. She always brings excitement, creativity and  quality professionalism to each event and wedding.  Georgia did an outstanding job making Lee Ann’s dreams reality. Lee Ann chose the color red to tie her wedding decor together throughout the entire day. I think it was a perfect choice as she and Scott were full of energy and lots of fun to work with. The center piece of the ballroom was the red dance floor with a custom monogram in silver.  The uplighting and gobos were were an excellent choice and added a perfect touch to the ambiance of the reception.  Not a single detail was over looked thanks to the staff at the Vinoy and Georgia Watson Events. Shortly before the guests were to enter the reception Georgia brought Lee Ann and Scott for a ballroom reveal. Their expressions said  it all. They were beyond pleased and more than happy to see planning made perfect.

One of my favorite moments in a wedding day is the first look. A beautiful bride quietly calming her pulse. She gives one last deep exhale releasing the anxious energy from weeks and months of planning for this very moment . Around the corner  comes a handsome well dressed groom.  He always appears a bit nervous and hesitant to look up. He gives a final adjustment to his coat,  straightens his back and as he raises his eyes; the smile that radiants his face reveals with pure honesty the very depth of his affection and love for his bride to be.  Lee Ann and Scott’s first look was priceless. It was beyond sweet and as a photographer I had so much to capture.  Lee Ann and Scotts’s first look not only allowed ample time to get their desired photographs around the Vinoy, but also to have a few quiet moments together before the celebration began.  After the first look  we spent  some time  taking family, bridal party photos, and a few photographs of the bride and groom together. Following the ceremony, held on the Esplanade, we had additional time to spend doing pictures with newly married couple before the reception time began. It was a gorgeous day spent with two beautiful people and their wonderful families.
