From the start of my business I wanted to cultivate a relationship with my clients that went passed the wedding day or the occasional call for family photos. Today I would like to highlight one of these very special clients, Desiree Rotenburg. I photographed her wedding in 2008. Over the past few years I have had the privilege of photographing her family, the addition of their daughter Brianna, and now products for her business. Desiree is warm, outgoing, ambitious, creative and contagiously bubbly. Desiree was recently inspired by her daughter to start a business. Soon after getting her business plan in action Desiree called me to photograph products for Happy Crawlers… comfortable and stylish leg warmers for babies and young children. My mission was to boldly go where many a photographer dare not travel. A studio full of chatty mothers, diapered babies/toddlers rolling, crawling, walking and toddling around the room. We had bows, tutus, bubbles, foot balls, squeaky toys, keys and mothers doing wildly silly things to make their kids smile and look at the camera. I was so pleased at how well the children responded to patiently waiting for a wardrobe or set change. Everyone did an amazing job. In the few months since the photo shoot Desiree shared that she has had so much fun interacting with her virtual shoppers. She has a new design coming out this month called “Cupcake Cuteness ” and it may just be her favorite yet.

Here are some images from our shoot yesterday for the Hurricane Restaurant that’s on Pass a Grille St. Pete Beach. I really love doing food photography and hopefully will get to do more of it in the future. I hope these make you hungry! (Oh, and by the way these are pretty much straight from the camera. I’ll end up going through and cleaning them up before they go to print for the client.) Thanks to Jonathan Fanning for his fabulous assisting skills too.
